Gail Russakov

I have been making art on and off for most of my life. Teaching art at a local high school for the last 25 years has taken most of my energy. The last two years I have concentrated on making time for my own art. I have lived in Florida for the last 37 years from Miami to Longwood. Married to Chuck for 39 years and have raised two daughters Tania and Tara. Graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1965, the College or Art and Design. My childhood was spent in New Jersey and I have a love for New York City. My true love affair with Florida was due to spending my summers at the shore in New Jersey.

The media I love working in is collage. I just love combining all kinds of materials and media.

It started with creating these collaged angels that became parts of larger collaged images. I love working with the colors, patterns and images that magazines provide. I also have discovered these marvelous creative papers. Mix it all up with paints, pastels, colored pencils, and anything else that helps create that special image. I love instruction and can be hired to come to your class.
